There was a protesting campaign in front of the head office of the electricity board asking for the arrears salaries of 10 months on last 29^th Friday.

“Government has not solved the problem of Tamil political prisoners. According to a review made by us , the number of Tamil political prisoners retained in unknown camps are between 4700 and 5200. Still the government has not taken steps to present an acceptable document about the disappeared youth. National Organizer of Socialist Youth Union and the Central Committee member of  JVP, Comrade Bimal Rathnayake and Central Committee member of JVP and the member of the Western Provincial Council, Comrade Nalinda Jayathissa had a special discussion with Comrade Won-Thua-Fon, deputy head of the international affairs commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam on last 07th July.
