“your struggle is our struggle also!” – Comrade Tilvin Silva
Socialist Youth Union has organized number of events for the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People from 29th November to 10th December which is held on 29th December. A public seminar on behalf of the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People was held today as one of these events. Palestine’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dr. Anwar H. Alegha, General Secretory of Peoples Liberation Front (JVP) Comrade Tilvin Silva, National Organizer of the Socialist Youth Union Comrade Bimal Rathnyaka and a large crowd participated in this event. Comrade Bimal Rathnayaka delivered the welcome speech.
Dr. Anwar H. Alegha described in is speech that how the Palestinians are suffered due to the attacks of Israelis and the imperialists which violate even their human rights.
Comrade Tilvin Silva said addressing the gathering that Socialist Youth Union is also a part of any struggle that takes place anywhere in the world against imperialism as we believe in internationalism. He Further said that Socialist Youth Union of Sri Lanka express their companionship for the struggle of Palestinians for their freedom.
A documentary film based on the Palestinian problem was also screened at this occasion.
